TSUNAMI Coastal Trail Races - 7.5 miles

20th Jun 2020

Further information

The TSUNAMI series of PureTrail Races are here! rnrnWe’ve chosen the most rugged, wild and remote section of the North Devon and Cornish coastline for some extreme fun along the clifftops and cliff trails. rnrnWestward Ho! to Bude (Ultra-marathon), Clovelly to Bude (Marathon), Hartland Quay to Bude (Sixteen miles) and Morwenstow to Bude (7.5 miles).rnrnThe longest day (21st June) will be the start of the TSUNAMI 24, our longest and toughest race to date.... With 75 miles, 5,270 metres of ascent and 24 hours MAX.rnrnTSUNAMI 24 starts and finishes at Castle Bude.rnrnWe’ve procured the iconic Clovelly harbour – for the start of the Marathon...uphill on the cobblestones through the village to reach the Coast Path...to finish on the lawns of Castle Bude – taking in almost 2,000m of ascent along the route. It’s a tidal wave of endurance trail running.rnrnThe Ultra adds another 10 miles of serious fun, the sixteen includes the toughest, most vertiginous section from Hartland Quay onwards, with the 7.5 mile race giving a short sharp introduction to the coastal hills, starting from the village of Morwenstow.rnrnThese races are undoubtedly some of the toughest trail running challenges in the South-West. Due to the nature of the terrain, wild and isolated (no towns or villages along the route), they will also prove to be the most rewarding.rnrnBus transport to the start can be purchased as part of your entry :-rnrnCastle Bude to Ultra Start - £10rnCastle Bude to Marathon Start - £8rnCastle Bude to 16 Mile Start - £8rnCastle Bude to 7.5 Mile Start - £6rnrnStart times:rnrnTSUNAMI 24 7pm (Friday 21st June and starts in Bude)rnrnUltra 07:00 from Westward Ho!
