PHOENIX - Minotaur 50 Mile ULTRA

19th Jun 2021

Further information

Introducing the Phoenix Minotaur 50 Mile Ultra - a 50 mile 'beast' with a difference!rnrnFirstly, you get up to 24 hours to finish the event - that's right from 8.00am on Saturday 19th June right through to 8.00am on Sunday 20th June, so if you fancy having a go at your very first 50 miler, or perhaps your first time running at night, then you won't find a longer cut off time anywhere. But the fun doesn't stop there because if 50 miles just isn't enough then you can simply keep on going and see if you can get to 100 miles within the 24 hour cut off. The route is a single 1 mile loop, which we'll make as flat as we possibly can, and we've got 24 hours so technically you can run as far as you like! If you get to 50 miles you'll be a Minotaur Finisher and get the epic Minotaur medal/buckle. If you elect to keep going but don't quite make the 100 miles, then you're still a Minotaur 50 Mile finisher, but if you make 100 miles in 24 hours then you'll become an official finisher of our Centaur 100 Miler and can trade up to get the epic gold Centaur buckle!rnrnWant finishes for both the 50 miles and 100 miles events?rnOK then, just because we're awesome - we're going to have an 'after you finish the 100 mile' on the day entry, whereby you can get the 50 mile Minotaur buckle for your original entry fee, then pay an extra entry fee for the 100 Centaur buckle, thus becoming an official finisher in both distances.rnrnHow about that - a 100 mile race that you 'try before you buy'!rnrnThe event is fully chip timed so you don't need to worry about keeping track of laps - well do all of that for you and can tell you exactly how far you've run each time you pass the aid station.
