Further information

Scenic, single-loop trail marathon and half marathon, this route takes in most of the historical Anglo-Saxon Fleam Dyke and the Roman Road long distance path on the south-east side of Cambridge. A chance to experience the first organised run along this historical route with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Starting at Balsham Village Hall near Cambridge, both loops head out north-west along Fleam Dyke until reaching Fulbourn Fen where the route heads south before picking up the Roman Road heading south-east away from Cambridge. Just south of Balsham the half marathon loop branches off to return to the hall while the marathon route continues with a few short road sections to villages Withersfield, Weston Green and Weston Colville before returning back to Balsham.
