The Weald Challenge Trail Races follow the long distance paths of the Wealdway and the Vanguard Way. Both races start and finish in the village of Chiddingly and encompass the surrounding beauty of the Sussex countryside en route. The courses are approximately 75% (half marathon) and 85% (ultra) off-road, and as the runners travel along the picturesque and undulating routes, they will take in a great variety of landscapes containing rolling hills, irregular shaped fields and ancient woodlands. Runners participating in the 50km Ultra Trail race will experience the added bonus of the spectacular views from the open heathland of the Ashdown Forest
